RECOGNIZING SYMPTOMS OF A STROKE
Unfortunately, the lack of awareness can spell disaster. A stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage if people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
The sooner a victim gets to the hospital, the greater the
chances of reversing damage. Avoid any delays.
Doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking 3 simple questions:
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call 999/911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
