 Strawberries for Beautiful Skin.

If you love strawberries, try using strawberries on your skin.... their antioxidants, nutrients, and natural fruit acids will do wonders to help reduce oiliness, make skin smoother, whiten teeth, reduce puffy eyes and bring out the natural glow of your hair.

The following recipes are for all natural skin care you can make in your kitchen.

** always consult your doctor before using anything new on your skin

Strawberry Hand or Foot Exfoliating Scrub :

To remove dead layers of skin , soften,  and keep your hands or feet beautiful this summer,  try this easy skin care formula from mother nature.

  • 8 Ripe Strawberries
  • 2 Tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt or coarse salt

Mash the strawberries with the above three ingredients until you form a paste. Massage into hands or feet, rinse and pat dry. Hands and feet will look and feel refreshed, soft and natural.

Strawberry facial mask : The yogurt contains live active cultures that will help balance the ph of your skin. The honey acts as an anti bacterial and the strawberries contain salicylic acid which cleanses and removes impurities and helps exfoliate dead skin cells. Strawberries are also high in alpha hydoxy acid which can reduce oil and help acne.

3-4 medium-sized ripe strawberries
1 tablespoon whole milk organic yogurt
1 tablespoon  honey

1. Mash the strawberries with the back of a fork or puree in blender. Add the yogurt and honey to the puree to form a heavy mixture.

2. Apply mixture to face and neck ( do not get in eyes). Let dry for about 10 minutes. Rinse off with spring water and cotton pads.

Variations: Use yogurt with live and active cultures instead of the cream to balance the pH of the skin. You can also use raspberries instead of strawberries. This yogurt/raspberry combination is suitable for sensitive skin, and is less likely to cause minor irritation for anyone allergic to strawberries.
